Mark your calendars for Moose Day 2027! JHWF’s annual community-powered moose census is conducted in partnership with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Grand Teton National Park, and the Bridger-Teton National Forest. Volunteer teams of 2–8 people survey assigned areas on foot, skis, snowshoes, or by vehicle to record moose observations across Teton County. By combining community science with data from wildlife managers, this effort helps us better understand and track local moose populations over time.
