SUMMARY:Invasive Weed Removal – Volunteer Day
DESCRIPTION:Crystal Butte is a scenic and frequently visited recreation area located on the edge of Jackson in the Bridger-Teton National Forest. Volunteer work will focus on the “Crystal Lite” trail\, a half-mile route with less than 500 feet of elevation gain. Invasive species at this site include musk thistle\, bull thistle\, houndstongue\, spotted knapweed\, and dalmatian toadflax. As a trail popular with hikers\, dog walkers\, and bikers\, managing invasive plant spread here is essential \nInvasive weeds can crowd out native plants and deprive wildlife of traditional food sources. Play a role in helping control the spread of invasives and spend a fun morning outside in the mountains by volunteering for this project. No experience is needed and all ages are welcome. This is a half-day project. \nREGISTRATION REQUIRED

SUMMARY:Wildlife Friendlier Fence – Volunteer Day
DESCRIPTION:Fence Pull at Game Creek Mesa  \nGame Creek is located on Forest Service land and serves as important winter range for elk and deer. These areas provide crucial access to exposed forage\, such as grasses and sagebrush\, thermal cover from cold winds\, and quiet environments that help wildlife conserve energy through the winter months. Removing fencing in these areas supports healthy winter range habitat and helps prevent wildlife entanglement. \nHelp reduce barriers to wildlife movement and migration by removing obsolete fences or making wildlife-friendly modifications to existing fence with volunteers and staff from the Jackson Hole Wildlife Foundation. Full or Half Day Projects Available + No prior experience needed. \nAs well as our 30 years of fence celebration after the project! \nRegistration Link
