SUMMARY:Invasive Weed Removal - Volunteer Day
DESCRIPTION:Coburn Meadow is a dispersed camping area located on the Bridger-Teton National Forest\, about 40 minutes South of Jackson. The project area is flat and features a parking lot\, campsites\, stream\, and meadow. The invasive species of focus are musk thistle\, bull thistle\, and hounds tongue. Coburn Meadow is a popular recreation destination. Volunteer efforts are crucial to mitigate the seed dispersal via in and out-of-state visitors. \nInvasive weeds can crowd out native plants and deprive wildlife of traditional food sources. Play a role in helping control the spread of invasives and spend a fun morning outside in the mountains by volunteering for this project. No experience is needed and all ages are welcome. This is a half-day project. \nREGISTRATION REQUIRED

SUMMARY:Wildlife Underpass Weed Project – Volunteer Day
DESCRIPTION:Three new wildlife underpasses have recently been built along South 89 to help reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions by safely funneling animals beneath the highway. The ground disturbance caused by construction has created ideal conditions for invasive weeds. These invasive weeds can crowd out native plants and deprive wildlife of traditional food sources. If invasive plants become established around these bottlenecks\, animals can unintentionally spread seeds from the underpasses into surrounding areas of the national forest. \nPlay a role in helping control the spread of invasives and spend a fun morning outside in the mountains by volunteering for this project. No experience is needed and all ages are welcome. This is a half-day project. \nRegistration link

SUMMARY:Wildlife Friendlier Fence – Volunteer Day
DESCRIPTION:Tetonia Fence Removal \nJoin us on August 15th in Tetonia to remove a stretch of fence that surrounds important moose habitat and impacts a big game migration corridor. Help reduce barriers to wildlife movement and migration by removing obsolete fences or making wildlife-friendly modifications to existing fence with volunteers and staff from the Jackson Hole Wildlife Foundation. No prior experience needed. \nRegistration Link

SUMMARY:Seed Collection at Crystal Lite
DESCRIPTION:Come join us at Crystal Lite to collect seeds from native plant species and help preserve and restore the landscape around the trail. The goal is to collect seeds that can be replanted to help increase native plants populations in areas previously affected by invasive species such as Musk Thistle\, Houndstongue\, Knapweed\, etc. \nVolunteers will learn to identify native species\, help collect ripe seeds\, and gain hands-on experience with how seed collection can support habitat restoration. \nPlay a role in restoring our landscape and replenishing native plant populations that provide important habitat and food for wildlife. Spend a fun morning outside in the mountains while helping support future restoration efforts! No experience is needed\, and all ages are welcome. This is a half-day project. \nREGISTRATION REQUIRED
