SUMMARY:Moose Day 2026
DESCRIPTION:Moose Day is just around the corner\, and we would love for you to join us for this annual\, community-powered event! Moose Day is a census conducted in partnership with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department\, Grand Teton National Park\, and the Bridger-Teton National Forest. By combining observations from citizen scientists with data from wildlife managers\, this effort helps us better understand and monitor moose populations within Teton County\, Wyoming. \nVolunteer teams of two to eight people will survey assigned areas on foot\, skis\, snowshoes\, or by vehicle to record moose observations. To prepare for the census\, we invite you to a virtual Moose ID Seminar led by wildlife biologist Aly Courtemanch (WGFD) on February 11th at 6:00 p.m. The seminar will provide essential training and cover moose biology\, history\, and the unique conservation challenges facing our local herd. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Register for Moose Day
